A preliminary study found that teachers' identities must shift to engage in CBE fully. They must construct classrooms engaging and supporting students in independent learning. This study aims to uncover teachers' understanding of CBE and implementation challenges. A quantitative descriptive research method used questionnaires distributed to 1,905 teachers across Indonesia. The results showed that teachers have a good grasp of CBE regarding learning standards, methods, media, strategies, assessment, and student involvement. Challenges included determining the achievement of learning objectives, assignment deadlines for students, and strategies for sharing experiences. Proper CBE implementation requires teacher readiness in skills and CBE understanding. Those challenges provide implications for quality competency-based learning and assessment in schools.
Ghanis Putra Widhanarto Titi Prihatin Haryono Haryono Seftia Kusumawardani ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2024-04-30 2024-04-30 24 1 27 37 10.24036/pedagogi.v24i1.1857 The Management of International Cooperation in Intensive Arabic Course
Course institutions need good program management to be able to create Arabic language learning in accordance with the goals and objectives. Three major groups – Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba were given prominence over other tribes tagged as minorities. The dissenting views of the populace and extreme flamboyance of the First Republic political class and riot in the then Western Region led to the first military coup d’état in Nigeria on January 15, 1966, a counter coup on July 29, 1966, of all which culminated into a full-blown Civil War which was waged for 30 months between July 1967 and January 1970. Against this background, this paper attempts to put forward the thematic preoccupations of torture, imprisonment and murder in Essien’s In the Shadow of Death and Ademoyega’s Why We Struck. These themes form the kernel of punishment which was meted out to the coup conspirators of January 15, 1966 and undue sufferings of some minority groups in the Biafran enclave.
