This study used a quantitative approach. Collecting data through the survey method by giving questionnaires to respondents. Research respondents totaled 216 students. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by explaining the frequency, percentage, and mean score of the responses given by the respondents. The results showed that in online learning the teacher gave more assignments as well as delivered the subject matter, multi-way interaction between teachers and students has been built, students still have difficulty understanding the subject matter, students consider online learning carried out from home to be quite boring, students already have facilities ready. No need to come to school, flexibility, and save time and money are the advantages of online learning. Meanwhile, it is very dependent on the internet network, the availability of internet data packages, and redundant tasks are the weaknesses of online learning. Students tend to want learning to be carried out face-to-face and online (blended learning) during the Covid-19 pandemic
Fahimul Amri Cahyo Tri Atmojo ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2021-11-29 2021-11-29 21 2 62 76 10.24036/pedagogi.v21i2.1179 Application of Blended Learning through Practical Project-based Instruction: Opportunities and Constraints http://pedagogi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/pedagogi/article/view/1093
This paper aims to highlight the application of Blended Learning (BL) for practical courses in the architecture program in the COVID-19 period. Physical Environment course is a theoretical module for first-year undergraduate students in the architecture program. Despite the course being written in theoretical structure, it was proposed to reorient the course into mixed methods with practical activities through online researching, site visiting, and reporting. This research applied a qualitative method with the application of case study, structured observation, content analysis, graphical analysis, and interpretation techniques. The data was collected from 40 students divided into ten groups, four students per group, to discover the application of BL in a practical and project-based activity. The findings of the research showed the students faced limitations to access the search engines and scientific sources to collect the sources for exercises. A half part of the group did plagiarism in the citation and referencing of the reports. The students present more accurate data in the site visiting and practical activities than the theoretical part. To conclude, the application of BL requires sufficient infrastructure for access to online materials through institutions. The implementation of BL helps the students to personalize and specialize the learning process through their own report design and exercises that are more effective for course delivery. Although the BL is implemented just in the activity and course levels by staff and students, BL mode requires to set-up in both program and institutional levels to achieve the results
Rahman Tafahomi ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2021-11-24 2021-11-24 21 2 77 89 10.24036/pedagogi.v21i2.1093 Pengembangan Student Worksheet Model MORE Berbasis Teori Konstruktivistik Sosial Vygotsky di MAN 1 Pontianak http://pedagogi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/pedagogi/article/view/1071
This study aims to develop student worksheets of good quality and effectiveness to improve students' knowledge competencies. The student worksheet developed refers to the MORE (Model-Observe-Reflect-Explain) learning model based on Vygotsky's social constructivist theory. This development research refers to the steps developed by Thiagarajan, namely the 4-D model. Data collection techniques in this study applied interviews, observation, and tests. The analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative. The empirical test of increasing knowledge competence uses the pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. Data on knowledge competency improvement were analyzed using the paired sample t-test. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPS 1 at Moslem Senior High School (MAN). The results of this study are as follows: first, the MORE student worksheet model based on Vygotsky's social constructivist theory has a very good quality. Second, the MORE student worksheet model based on Vygotsky's social constructivist theory is effective for history learning.
Sutoyo Budiharto Ismet Basuki ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2021-11-24 2021-11-24 21 2 90 98 10.24036/pedagogi.v21i2.1071 Meningkatkan Aktivitas Memori Kerja Berbantuan Binaural Beats http://pedagogi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/pedagogi/article/view/1086
This study aims to investigate the impact of providing binaural beats (BB) stimulus on working memory activity. This study used an experimental method using a one-time case study (one-chance case study). This study involved 30 respondents consisting of men and women aged 18-20 years. The participants will do two readings of different scientific articles with the same cognitive level. The first data collection was carried out without providing any stimulus, while the second data collection was carried out by providing a stimulus in the form of a BB with a frequency of 15Hz. Data were collected from the results of electroencephalographic recording (EEG) then processed using the EEG Lab to calculate the value of the Power Spectral Density (PSD). The average PSD value before and after the stimulus was calculated statistically by performing the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the mean value of PSD before and after the stimulus is given. This shows that BB can have an impact on improving memory performance in reading scientific articles
Jatmika Nurhadi Syihabuddin Syihabuddin ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2021-11-24 2021-11-24 21 2 99 106 10.24036/pedagogi.v21i2.1086 Implementation of Cooperative Learning Treffinger Type to Improve the Understanding of Class VI Students http://pedagogi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/pedagogi/article/view/1073
This study aims to determine the application of the Treffinger learning model to improve the understanding of sixth-grade students. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with Kurt Lewin's model. The findings showed that the result of teacher observations in the first cycle was 72.2%, an increase to 91.6% in the second cycle. This increase also occurred in the observation of student activity in the first cycle, namely 68.75%, up to 90.62% in the second cycle. Increasing the learning process has an impact on increasing students' understanding of the natural and social appearance material of neighbouring countries. This can be seen from the increase in the average score of students in the first cycle from 74.76 to 82.80 in the second cycle which was classically complete. Likewise, student learning completeness in the first cycle was 65.38% to 92.30% in the second cycle with a good category.
Yullia Susilaningtyas M. Corruption is a big threat to a country because it can harm the country and make people miserable. To tackle increasingly widespread corruption, it is necessary to have character education from an early age, one of which is to include it in the curriculum for early childhood, because the development period of early childhood as the golden age of children is the foundation of morals and character when one grows up to become an adult. Corruption by telling stories or storytelling is considered very appropriate because children do not feel taught but by telling stories they can insert moral values, morality without the impression of being coercive and pressing. With the storytelling method, it will be easy to instill character values such as being honest, not greedy and greedy in children, so that children will be able to apply them in the habituation of daily life since they were small. Parents, teachers and the surrounding environment are very important supporting factors in the formation of this anti-corruption character, so good cooperation is needed between them
Muti Muti'ah Muti ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2021-11-24 2021-11-24 21 2 121 127 10.24036/pedagogi.v21i2.1145 Comprehensive Counseling Guidance Model in Providing Pre-Marriage Services For Students http://pedagogi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/pedagogi/article/view/1177
Premarital education for students is considered necessary because, at this time, a person must be prepared to enter married life. But in honesty, teachers do many things. Aside from relaying the information that their students need to learn, they are also responsible for handling each student with different characteristics and behaviors. Thus, it is a problem if teachers do not know how to facilitate them as well as if they do not have enough understanding of educational psychology. Knowing and understanding students' cause of different behaviors is one way for teachers to facilitate their students appropriately and can teach effectively. This article then discusses salient factors that lead student to behave in such ways. It also gives emphasis on how a teacher will become effective in teaching if she first learn the root of students' behavior.
Januard Deñola Dagdag Milky Mae D. Vast ideas of concepts, theories and context have aroused in the popularization and implementation of distance learning in educational system and its first and most adversary are those in favor of lecture style of teaching. In the onset of the COVID-19, all fields of society have been affected and one of it is the educational system. This pandemic propagated the rise of distance learning in the Philippines and it becomes the most reliable modality of continuing the academic years. Distance learning becomes more adaptive and effective with the help of flexible teaching and learning modalities. Several studies exposed the concepts and theories for the distance learning to be more acceptable. These concepts and theories are supported by the literature with claims of context of distance learning in order to create an open and good system. Frameworks and being literate with the aid of continuous studies in this rising field is one of the key concepts in creating more possibilities to attain the quality of sufficient distance learning modality.
Januard Deñola Dagdag Ronnie Jay S.
